Current First-Year Student Housing Selection
General Information
All first-year residential students are required to live on campus during their sophomore year. Each residential student will be provided access to the housing selection system in their housing portal. Commuting students who wish to live on campus during 2027-2028 should contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing (res-life@scranton.edu) as soon as possible. Participating student groups of 4 will be provided selection times randomly and choose housing. The online housing selection process for the 2027-2028 academic year has not been released. Expect information to be shared later in the Fall '26 semester!
Rising sophomore students will select housing from Condron, Gavigan, and Redington Halls. These buildings are comprised of "quads" which are two double bedrooms connected by a shared bathroom.
Rising Sophomore Selection Timeline
Please note that the information below is old, but shows how the process is managed. Information for the upcoming housing selection will be shared later in the Fall '27 Semester!
Monday, April 16th @ 3:00 p.m.: Rising Sophomore Live Online Selection
Information sessions will be offered in February to students to learn more about the process and ask any questions. Dates and times are:
- Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 @ 2pm in Collegiate Hall in Redington Hall
- Friday, February 20th, 2026 @ 10:30am -- Virtual Session -- Sign up in RoyalSync!
Housing selection timeline as follows:
- January 28th, 2026: Individuals Seeking Groups and Groups Seeking Individuals applications open in the Housing Portal. Captains for groups of 4 can access the Housing Portal and set up group.
- March 6th, 2026: Forms Close in Housing Portal
- March 13th, 2026: Groups of must be finalized and will lock in the portal
- April 14th, 2026: Selection Times Released
- April 16th, 2026: Live Selection Starts @ 3pm
